I am in Ft Lauderdale now, but for a 500k investment in the Bahama's you live tax free for the rest of your life.
I found a house on the beach 2 1/2 acres for 500K, real estate counts as an investment then that's it.
And only 20 min by plane from Ft Lauderdale/Miami, so this does not sound all that bad.

the pic he's referring to is actually a strange pic and makes it seem more tropical than it is.. it's the view from mr-yellow's house. Anyways I'm not worried, this area is world renowned for it's beaches - they actually had the '93 world bodyboarding championship on the obscured beach in the far left of the pic..
It's full of bays so it might seem swampy when acutally the australian coast is a very dry environ till you hit the far north.
