If you haven't seen Clerks and Mallrats you are missing so much in the rest of the movies. They are all full of in jokes. Dogma is is plastered with them and Jay and Bob is just one big in joke. If you don't know the other films you only saw a 1/4 of the movie. Afterall Jay and Bob was pretty much just a farewell gift to the fans.
