    Sex Promote...Free But You Have To Pay $39.99?

    In the adult business today there are alot of companies out there making us look bad and loosing trust in surfers...As well bringing heat from the FTC and the government in general.

    After seeing Greg from Sex Promote's post about advertising on awi I went to check out their site...I then followed up by signing up to give it a test drive.

    Before I promote any sponsor program I play devils advocate and because a surfer...I went to one of my affiliate links to signup and try it out...

    So I go to http://www.freeadultlottery.com/?aid=855247 and enter in all my info...Then i get brought to a screen asking for my credit card...Hmm I thought this was suppose to be totally free like it said on the front page? Well...I read the terms below...

    Okay so from these terms I am told I get a option to join a mega site which is 39.99 a month...

    Well while I am doing this I am talking to Greg about this...I wanted to find out what happened on the next page...He said you get your username and password...That your billed 39.99...Wait where is my option at?

    So...The site is telling the surfer its free and they have a option to join the mega site for only $39.99 but yet their are charged and they never get a option because Sex Promote has to pay their webmasters $35 per sale...

    Since Greg didn't have time to help me with understanding this...Can anyone here shed light on this?

      i thought that was common practice for avs' at least. or at least people who've approached me to make an avs for them always tried to bake in automatic subscriptions to other sites using the user's cc.
      php/mysql guru. hosting, coding, all that jazz.

          Don't worry. One day, there will be zero surfers left willing to pull out their credit cards. Conversions will fall to zero. Sponsors, hosts, content producers will all go out of business. Free site owners will die, except a few who start selling memberships to adult personals sites or who sell dildos online.

          And when that day comes we can look back at all our mistakes. All the deceitful marketing, all the tricky billing, all the "hey! sign up for free....oops we billed you $120" marketing techniques and sigh.

          And right after we look at all the shitty billing things we did that fucked surfers and taught them that signing up for things online is bad and leads to your credit card being charged for all sorts of shit, we can all find the nearest TGP owner and beat the shit out of him while yelling, "THIS IS YOUR FAULT! YOU RUINED THE INDUSTRY! YOU GAVE AWAY ALL THAT FREE PORN!"

              Yes, lots of sponsors are pulling that, hence why I started a thread about a week ago looking for LEGIT free trials. no $1.95 processing fee, not "free lifetime VIP membership" crap. Did get some responses.

                              who processes for that site?

                              Is Sexpromote just a front for Babenet? Looks to me like that same operation. Anybody know who the processor is? Cuz they're taking the credit card number on their servers on an unsecure page.

                                  Orgasmcash does the same thing.... it is the exact same terms.. exact same trick.

                                  It's really stupid/scam.. there is no 'option of getting 39.95 month membership', you have to.

                                  And on top of that, they spam the fuck out of the surfer.. join one of these sites and see how much spam you get. It's absolutely ridiculous.

                                      I was checking them out today and thought about adding them to 2 of my webmaster programs. Uummm... Guess they can forget about that.

                                      In my opinion, any webmaster who helps Sex Promote fuck the surfer should consider dropping them again cause it WILL hurt us in the end. Maybe faster than you think.

                                      Of course Sex promote will deny they have a huge amount of chargebacks but they can't keep up paying webmasters $35 per S.U. That means massive shaving.

                                                  i think we get this type of marketing all over in real life too, we're just used to it.

                                                  where you see "free toaster" and the small print is "with the opening of a bank account" etc.

                                                  it's nothing new, claiming something is free when it relies on you buying something else. it just seems like it is because it's on a different medium. i just woke up so i can't think of any better examples.

It's the wording that you have the option to join at $40 a month when you really don't. I would charge back for a fact. An option means there will be a box to uncheck on the next page that removes you from the $40 site.

                                                                                                                                      Most sites are like this:

                                                                                                                                      User goes to site...Fills in info...Gives credit card...They get access to totalhotteens.com for free like they were told...Then they get a free 3 day trial of hothotbitches.com...If they cancel within 3 days they get the totalhotteens.com for free and is never billed...They don't cancel they get charged $39.95 like they agreed to in the beginning...

                                                                                                                                      Sex Promote sites are like this:

                                                                                                                                      User goes to the site...Fills in info...On a non secure site they are asked for their credit card info...They are told its free and they get a option of joining cutebitches.com for 39.95...So they enter in cc info and they are automatically billed for cutebitches.com for 39.95. They never get the option of choosing they want to join it and they never get a free trial...Just boom charged...So user gets access to 2 sites for $39.95 not free...

                                                                                                                                                          The wording on our sites changes as the legal climate in adult changes as well...... believe it or not we have webmasters that promote our product and they actually make money, not serious money like some of the webmasters posting above...but enough to be happy about and continue promoting our product.

                                                                                                                                                          Chargebacks are controlled in this simple fashion....... all the users info is stored and on file....as complaints arise and chargebacks are requested we handle then directly and actually give the surfer exactly what they want...if its a different niche or their money back. So in fact , chargebacks are very low. As you can imagine are conversions are pretty good since there is obviously some trick in the signup process....to be quite honest the wording changes quite a lot. Right now it quite decieving but almost all the surfers that sign up never even start the chargeback process.

I have pulled in 7 figures a year for the past 3 years and i have yet to rip off a surfer.

There was over $100.00 in charges to my card thru these fuckers
