    Globill lets you delay check access...why can't other processors?

    I was in icq with another webmaster who has switched to globill. We were discussing how we are getting anally raped by the check fraud...He said that Glo-bill has an option where you can delay the access of a check signup until that check clears. He sent me this quote from their page:

    "Online Check Signups in realtime: This option determines if online check users get access in realtime. If a user signs up using the online check payment option, they will be immediately granted access to your site if you have this option set to YES. If it is set to NO, they will only be granted access to your site once their check clears, upon which their membership would begin."

    Why can't I do this with CCbill? This would be a great solution to me getting bent over EVERY FUCKING WEEK with the check fraud..

    And when is that ccbill dialer gonna be up...This fraud is pissing me off...

      Yeah.. I know it can be done, but so much for the surfer who wants his porn now. You will loose all those sign-ups. No one is going to wait three days when they can sign-up with another site and wack off right now.

      Checks do suck, but my highest retention comes from my check customers. I make money off of checks.. yeah I loose about 30% of them to fraud, but I keep the ones that are clean forever. Actually... I wish I had more check customers.

          I pulled the 'checks' option off of my site 6 months ago and didn't feel even the slightest dip in revenue -- BUT saved in lost bandwidth and bullshit hassles from all the mofos that were doing fraud.

          Nowadays if you have a checking account you have a debit card -- which works just the same on the site -- let people pull those out.

          The check customers were the absolute WORST for fraud. My bouncers were probably about 30 - 40% of the signups, like PerfectionGirls mentioned -- but it was the principal of the situation that was pissing me off. Fuck 'em.

              One of the many things I like about living in California is that, if you have a checking account, you have a debit card, but lots of places on the east coast and in the south, that is not the case. Debit cards are cool because you are spending $$$ you actually have. I lived in Atlanta briefly and Georgia was really primitive about stuff like debit cards. So, I think that by axing checks, you really lose large sectors of the country.

                      I haven't noticed any more fraud with check access than anything else... deliver what you promise and the fraud will all be baseline, regardless of your payment method.

                                  Also most of the problem is that the checking accounts these swindlers are using don't even fucking exist! All you have to have is the correct routing number to the bank and you can put in eat-a-dick for the bank account number and your in.

                                      'checks' option off is the best. People can wait also a week before their check get accepted but no fraud and higher retention.

                                              I'm also a big fan of the "Wait to be verified" checks on Globill.

                                              I have not had one back check since I turned this feature on.

                                              Get about 5% of my signups with checks.

                                              I've been suprised lately to see how many people are electing to use phone billing for membership! It's gone way up since new years.
