I found the photo on the site for North Carlton Primary (AKA Lee Street), and it's of particular interest because I lived in the north-west block of that intersection for 20 years of my life. I took the colour one above to try to reproduce that image. You got it - I'm a Melbourne guy. The reason I recognised the photo is that I lived on Canning Street for a couple of years.
Your photo came out really well - the building on the corner looks almost unchanged. nice stuff
