It's been nearly a week since PSW suddenly dropped VISA, has anyone heard an ETA from them? No reply to my email.
PSW still without VISA

A lot of us predicted that the billers who tried to work around the new Visa regs would end up getting into trouble like this. We're just watching those predictions unfold.

I have heard that they owe some webmasters a lot of money.
They just stopped paying out.Comment

CSR = Customer Service Representative.
And I have no idea what's going on with them either. They told us they would be getting Visa back as well, but that was a while back. Come to think of it their cheque is a few days later, but we've always had payment from them before, so hopefully no new problrms will arise.Comment

Dunno about you guys, but I dug up my old verotel login. I signed up with them in April last year but never went through with it. My account is still there.
If they're good then I'll be changing PSW to my backup only, or removing them entirely.Comment

I?m sure that PSW will be along soon to address the rumor. They appear to keep their webmasters in the loop and always seem to be very professional and straightforward. If you need a good company for check writing services, then check out checkissuing, and for webhosting, check out Phoenix NAPComment

I certainly hope it's true that PSW has dropped Visa.
Because I LOVE to spend $1000 for no fucking reason.
Is this true? PSW is dropping Visa? When I check out of my own site, it still offers Visa in the pull down menu of credit cards.
Anybody have a mailman uniform? I feel a sudden urge to go postal.

It's only for non USA webmasters. If you're still seeing VISA as an option, then I guess you're a USA webmaster.Originally posted by Jezebel Content

Here's the story:
Two weekends ago, they informed us that there would be a 7-10 day break in VISA processing in order for them to remain compliant. Then we got an email saying they'd found a temporary solution (shifting things through a third party) ... ok, scare over?
Last weekend VISA stopped working. An email arrived a couple of hours later saying that they would not be processing VISA for 'a few days'.
It's been nearly 7 days exactly since I received that email. The latest ETA is supposed to be Tuesday, with the possibility of it being a little earlier.
The fact firstly that there was a break at all in processing, coupled with the false alarm and the 'after event' notice, has made me twice about staying with PSW.Comment

Wow. This is one of the most impressive rumor threads we?ve ever seen. First, the quick list (please forward to the head of the elite underground rumor organization):
Visa, International as originally stated will be back up very early next week (integration is nearly done).
Visa, USA was never lost, always available and has seen no change in service (same with MasterCard, Online Checks, and JCB).
Payouts, as always, are sent weekly. From what we?ve heard there were some isolated cases posted about last week (some are given as examples in the q&a below).
And now, please raise your seats and tray tables to their upright and locked postions. It?s time for Q&A:
rowan: has anyone heard an ETA? (Visa International)
Integration is nearly done, will be back up early next week (5-7 business days from original notice). Our programming department has been working with our International Bank in the early hours of the morning (because the banking hours are rather different than Eastern Standard Time).
gothweb: A lot of us predicted...
This was a gap in processing. We?ve been working with Visa in every way we can.
NoCarrier: PSW won't be getting VISA (International) back.
Um.. No soup for you! That statement is untrue. But if you want a story to take back to the underground: It?s a love story really.. Visa never left.. she went to stay with her mom in the country for a while, but we went and talked through things.. about the past.. and the future.. we sold that old motorcycle that she always said was dangerous, took down that elk plaque off the wall that always scared her so, and now? Well, lets just say rings like these don?t come from a cereal box!... You?ve got to collect five boxes and pay for shipping! ;) (Wow, rumors can be fun to write)
Mystery Man: ?they are counting on having VISA back for Intl clients on Sunday.
You are correct sir!
StacyCat: PSW wasnt trying to get around the VISA regs, they charged the fee.
Damn that?s one brilliant cat!
Charly: I have heard that they just stopped paying out.
Objection! Speculation!
Payouts have gone out weekly for the history of the company. Rumors came from one client who provided a mismatched address, the check was returned, he didn?t believe us (and posted to that affect). We fedexed his check and he got it this week. Another client was committing fraud (among many other things) yet felt confident to post that we shut the account down and stopped paying.
NoCarrier: The CSR won't tell you the truth until the official news are out.
A worthy assumption, mighty poster. While it may be unexpected in this industry, we?ve found honesty to be a better practice. Thus, please consider this post (and any conversations with CS Reps) to be ?Official News?.
Mystery Man (to NoCarrier): Please tell your source!
Yes, please. We?d be delighted to meet the head of the rumor organization. And we?ll be sure to keep them away from any bees nests so they don?t hurt themselves.
Petr: Ceska Socialisticka Republika?
Our pet name for the Client Service Reps.
indeed: What happened to all the rebills?
Still in the queue. Waiting on the channel integration.
LadyMischief: always had payment from them before..
And you shall again, our mischievous lady.
rowan: I dug up my old verotel login
If we weren?t PSW and heard megarumors like these, we?d dug up old porn logins just for a break! ;)
Jezebel Content: When I check out of my own site, it still offers Visa in the pull down menu of credit cards.
Thank you for evaluating the rumor, rather than getting the postal uniform. Visa will stay in the drop down menu (and the mail will continue to be delivered.. we think).
rowan: a break at all in (International Visa) processing, coupled with the false alarm and the 'after event' notice?
Yeah, nothing like a notice marathon. The next one will be happy, we promise.
Hooper: We havent had any problems with PSW
You and thousands of others. It?s hard to show that in times like these. And, btw, to you and ALL OTHERS that posted positive comments, THANK YOU for standing up for us, thank you for taking the time to post, and thanks for knowing we?ll pull through this. Maybe we can send out some cookies or something!
corvett: They appear to keep their webmasters in the loop and always seem to be very professional and straightforward.
You get a cookie TOO!
?and now back to the gfy band.

Kudos to you guys for some excellent tongue in cheek handling of what could have been a sticky situation if the rumor mill had kept on spewing out grain ;)Comment
