What hits are you responsible for TDF?

Im going take pictures of a studio maybe tonight.

Rumbo Recorders, ever heard of it?

Danzig, Tool, george Thorogood & The Destroyers, Slash & crew, even Jackyl & Crue... tons of people have recorded there from Guns N Roses to White Zombie.

A close friend works there, going to get some cool shots of it. They have awesome rooms and an amazing hallway full of platinum records etc on the wall.

Ive been in studios since before I can remember. I love the ambience of kick ass studios.

All my friends sit in studios all day, I sit here. Until I go there.

well Fletch there are a lot more variables in rock music than urban music...with urban music it's all about market ability and "record industry induced street cred"...now with that being said, most people consider some bands to be "sellouts" because they may go less punk or more roock..the winds of change can do that to you

I think Rock fans take people having success much more seriously than the Rap fans. Once you sell 15 records in rock you become a sellout that sounds like shite.

I always thought it was because they were one of the few that remembered they need to actually write a good SONG to go with that rad guitar riff that passes for a melody.

I actually enjoy Staind. Saw them live, opening for Godsmack. Incredible show.

But, with that said, overall band play doesn't make a band "one of the greats", IMO. Some of the best bands are never played on the air waves or that shit you call MTV.

They're great because they play music solely to play music. Express themselves. They don't have producers and presidents telling them what they can and can't play. That isn't music, that's money making. Nothing wrong with that, but that's what it is.

The shit you find on MTV won't be around in 5 years.

Hank the Third rocks. Shows at the Roxy always rock. Last time I was out there we stood in the back next to Riki Rachtman and Janine (who he might have been dating at the time). I love the club atmosphere.

As for the T-Boys...they're so hot they've lit a few places on fire. For real. It's just not mainstream shit...which really sucks. Everyone I turn on to them just loves it all. The music, the attitude, the look and the shows.

when tboys played the roxy the flames were damn near setting the roof on fire, the dust buildup was smoking from the pyros blowin.

That was an awesome show, it was before they put in the new bar at the roxy, so the club seemed bigger, that night we met Cecil Deville, everytime I go to the roxy we meet someone, its almost a given, people not in Hollywood just dont understand.

not star struck, but it is really cool to hang out with bands like that.

Nashville Pussy was another one that lit the fucking roxy on fire, awesome shows, all of them.

i bleed for music.

Nope, but there is a 'Spirit of Studio 12' junky clinic right up the road where Stan from 'The Dickies' gives talks on heroin.

I had met him a bunch of times through friends, and through Dave teague..., but stopped into a 7-11 and on the way out he recognized me, i didnt know he spoke there, but he does.

Hes an awesome guy, clean 10 years now or something, good for him, let the punks live to be old!

The Dickies rule, I also know Dave Teague from the dickies, his band is called 'The Dimwits' friend of ours put it out, hes an awesome guy too.

Dimwits are big hollywood punk thing right now.

When they played Dodger Stadium on Halloween a few years back...I bought the instruments and costumes that they wore for the show. Got to spend $200,000 of someone elses money...and spend some time with my idols. Dream come true. If you make it to Orlando, they're on display at the Hard Rock.

Mom was an Alice Cooper KISS fan so it rubbed off, although im much more into the early stuff man. I was born in 76 so Destroyer and Rock And Roll All Nite are god. Thats what my mom was jammin when she was kicking it hahaha
