Nonsense minimum payments via wire transfer...

Can somebody tell me what the fuck is with these "minimum payments" if I wanna get paid via wire transfer? Majority of sponsors don't wire less than 500$ or 1000$. Today I found even 4000$ minimum. I just dont get it.

I know only handful of sponsor that sends wire below 500 bucks. So if your a sponsor or know one that sends less than $500 by wire, feel free to spam me.

Or is just that the sponsors dont give a fuck about webmasters who dont make 1000$ per pay period?!?

Also the wire fees are unbelievable high in most cases. I know thats the bank, but not every bank. Nowadays it takes one (1) minute to send a wire, and charging anything more than 5$ for that is just ridiculous. It's a shame there still are banks around the world where people have never heard of wire transfers and they need 10 people and 5 days to send out one.

I'm off to searching new sponsors...

We are not sponsors but we do send international wires to our overseas ladies and they are expensive $39.00 a pop. Based on that cost I understand why high payouts are required.

Woot Woot Cash goes through CCBill and the min for a wire is only $100. Plus they convert really well!

Wire transfers suck.

Our customers can pay us by wire, and we don't impose a minimum on them, but we want to.

We're in hosting, so margins are razor thing allready.

When some customer sends us a wire, it costs us (on OUR end) $14 a pop. So if someone sends us a wire for their $60 hosting bill, we probably lose money overall on it.

Of course, they get nailed for anywhere from $20-$60 US!

wires suck.

Yeah I know the banks at US are weird. You should boycot them. $39 for one minute work is just genious.

No they do not. Wire itself is good. You send money from bank account to another. What sucks is that banks charge ridiculous amounts handling a wire. It also sucks that there are sponsors that does not want to find a way around that.

I get wires now, but I'm looking forward to using epassporte instead. I'm hoping CCBill is looking into paying out this way.

Seriously though, wires are definatley too expensive to make it worth it to most sponsors unless it's a big account. It just costs too damn much.

How about direct deposit (I think it's technically called an "ACH transfer")? I may be off base but it doesn't cost anything and banks encourage it. Not sure if it can be done internationally though ...

i can explain to you why sponsors usually dont mess with wires under 500 USD

Each wire takes up to 20 mins to make
if you have few thousand webmasters in your program and at least 20% of them want wires
can you even imagine how long it will take to make those wires on time.

That's why wires are only for webmasters earning 500 a week or more.

Ibill wire money to our account and its just $5 each time. I think its called ACH I dont suggest you sign up with Ibill but other processors must have something similar

first you gotta goto the bank,, fill out forms manually
then cost's like 39-50,, minimum 15 minutes if there is no one in line,, does not include travel time

the transfer could take up to three days for internation banks,,

now western union is different story,, it only takes 5 minutes
and it only takes around an hour for someone to pick up
but it does cost $$

If thats true, tell me why some sponsor charge only $15 and pay amounts like $100. I send a wire within a minute and it costs me $4.

If you mean the bank personnel needs 20minutes to handle a wire, then the banks system (if theres any) is fucked up.

$100 is the default amount for a wire. Upon request, it can be changed to a higher or lower amount.

I go to my banks website, log on, make a new payment, fill out the recipients name, address, bank, swift, account#, then I press pay. It takes a minute, and costs $4. Okay, it may take 1½ minutes before i have logged out and switched back to GFY .

I dont know what they do at the bank to handle a wire, but must not be much at that rate.

Considering sponsors charge you the service fees....even if it costs them $39 to send the wire, it comes right out of your payout...sameway how if one wants a check couriered the courier fee is taken out of the payout.

Sponsors are just lazy =)

Ive been using American Express to send wires internationally for the past 2 years, they kick ass !
Its cheaper than the bank and you do it all online.

FAA has $130+ minium for wires.

Is more then obvious that epassporte is the best payment method on the internet. It wonders me why only flashcash implemented it until now.

Definately peer to peer transfers will be one the big things of 2003.

Lets hope they can get it perfected and everyone using it.
