I Reformated, and now Im Out Of Disk Space on my PC??

Fuck..
I really fucked shit up on my pc.

I went to run a recovery disk and reformat my entire pc, and i did some wierd shit before hand with partitions and fdisk.

I have no idea waht that shit is, but now after Ive reformatted, and ran all the recovery disks, this new PC has no fucing disk space at all!

Somethings wrong!! C Drive has no disk space, and a warning sign comes up telling me have no more free space, and i should delete old or unecessary files..

It says I only have 1.99 GB drive, and naturally im using around 1.8 GB which isnt much..

But where the fuck is my storage space? Where did it go.

This has to have something to do with the fdisk shit i ran.
What the fuck is that. And I think I also fucked up when i erased the "partition" when reformating.

how do i fix this shit?

you need to partition your harddrive doofus

put in a win 98 boot disk and tpye fdisk at the prompt, enable large disk support and format it.

If the recovery disks allow you to run Fdisk, go ahead.

Enable large disk support, delete all the partitions available. Create a PRIMARY DOS Partition for the entire size of the drive and format (you'll loose about 10% space in the format).

Seriously, though...on boot up, hit the del key or F11 or whatever takes you into your BIOS. Make sure your BIOS recognizes that you have a disk larger than 1.99 gb. Then, you need to reformat again. This time when you FDISK, make sure that you select the option that lets you create large hard drives (LBA or something similar). Win98 inherently allows only up to 2gb per logical drive.

I was just going to say that. When you run FDISK, it will ask about Larger Space or something, shit done this a million times, Thing is that on NT it will do this to you no matter what, I think 4 gig is the limit. We use W2K AS and don't seem to be able to do a disk install so we have to do the NT, then Win XP, then reinstall Win2K. Sucks. Must be that damn bootleg W2K disk.

Oh, and if you are still running 98, you have a max disk size of 7.8gb...meaning a 30gb disk will be 4 different drives (C, D, E, F). You'll need to upgrade to something like Win2K to see the whole 30gb as one drive (if that's what you're after).

you can go to http://bootdisk.com/ and get the win98 boot disk, when you load it up, just type in fdisk at the prompt and like they said delete the partition and create a primary one for the size of the whole hd, and enable the large disk support shit and that should do it

Now my monitor looks like its BURNT OUT!!!

WTF??

IT has gray lines everywhere like the black background burnet it out, or blew it out.

What the holy fuck??

DId this partation or reformat not work right, or did the 10 hours of balck screen background burn my fucking monitor??

This bitch cost me 1500.00

FUCK..

I went into display propertiees and yes the color and display and drivers for the monitor are all set fine...

ITs just looking real fady, and I have black lines running across my monitior!.=
