Mapquest says my address doesn't exist - I guess that's what I get for having the only house on my street
How do you get to the aerial photo? I'm going to see if my neighbor's shows mine!
Maybe they don't offer that option for those of out in the boonies.
Added - that's it - I went to an old address and found the link for the aerial view - oh well - I'll just have to wait until they're brave enough to fly up here

Arials have been available from http://terraserver.microsoft.com for some time now. From their homepage:
Only for the US though.TerraServer contains 3.3 tera-bytes of high resolution USGS aerial imagery and USGS topographic maps. You can locate imagery by clicking on the map above, entering a city or town name in the "Search TerraServer" form at the top of the page, or entering a U.S. street address. Click on Advanced Find to see other methods for searching our imagery database.Comment

One other thing, in the US, most County Assessor's and Surveyor's offices use arial imagery, and you can get prints from them inexpensively.Comment

That's cool but you know what's REALLY WEIRD?
Having a guy come up to your door with a really nice, framed arial picture of your house and try to sell it to you for $200!
He said they get people buying custom shoots of churches and stuff and they just randomly take pictures of neat looking houses, then track them down and try to sell them!
I thought that was one of the weirdest things I'd ever heard. But I bought it.Comment

yup, creepy. I just looked at my parent's house. Okay it is a hot from 1999 but that makes it even creepier because it looks like how I remember it. It is a bit like that scene in Men in Black when Tommy Lee Jones is caught spying down on his wife. Atleast I couldn't get close enough to see if they happened to be standing outside when it was taken.Comment
