AutoGallery Pro: ?Workaround?

Curious...
I've read the license for AutoGallery Pro, and can't seem to find the section that says you cannot do the following:

1. Purchase the removal of the "Powered By" B.S. for $75.00
2. Install the AGP software on a central domain; Ex. TGP1.com
3. Set the script up to write out your gallery listing in a plain format, with no header info or anything.
4. Include these galleries through a ?php include() function on all of your TGPs w/o the JMB link.

So, basically setting up a central database, w/o the link, and creating child TGPs to feed from the database.

Does anyone see any holes in this?

removing the powered by is pretty easy. check out 'bdata' in your data/dbs directory.

it's more like people who remove the logos on their cars. i mean, really, who the fuck on the road needs to know you have a V8 in your jeep?

Nope Sir. Why are the AUTORANK, GALLERY... products so popular?
Because every new webmaster looks at the friendspages and has no idea how to do such a page. So he sees the powered by Autorank link and finds out about JMB Software.
This is the thing they are making money with. And if you delete it you cheat them. Be thankfull for such nice software. I have no problem with cheating Microsoft but the small companies need our support.

so we should be thankful we spent money on a product so they could bring in more newbs to the business? besides, if you're newb enough not to know about AGP, you're way too newb.

You can pay them a fee ($75.00 I think) and you can then remove the "powered by" at the bottom of all the gallery listings. You can of course modify the php code on your own, but that would be theft. Balance that against your desire to not have people steal your copyrighted works.

By the way, it's not as easy as removing the "powered by" in the php. There are several places in their code that calls the mother ship when you run the program. They know what sites are loading it...so those of you that are dumb enough to believe that you have gotten away with something may be waiting for the other shoe to drop without even knowing it.

While I won't argue with you on whether it sucks or not, what you are saying is nonsense. You have paid for the use of the script with a "powered by" link. Without that link, it costs more money.
In other words, you get a discount for displaying the link.

Thank you. I didn't go to their site so I didn't know that part. All I saw was "buy this script and then pay us more to remove our advertisements".

The purpose of what I'm considering, is so that, I can make a central database, and setup "child" TGPs to feed off that database. It's not just for asthetic purposes.

I just don't see how JMB would even know if I'm feeding off of a central database.
