Yeah see a different accountant and get a second opinion.
On all my jobs working for others I always elected to take out an extra $20, or whatever, a week out of my check for taxes, it really adds up and it's nice to get a good bonus come tax time. I get a refund every year.
If you do that now then next year you wont have this problem.
I remember the first year I paid more in taxes than I had made in salary when working for someone else in the "corporate" world. I wasn't sure if I should be happy or sad!
Cheshire - get thee to a good CPA!! There are stacks of tax codes you and I know nothing about nor could we find them if we tried. My accountant saves me many, many times more than his fee

It was a shock to me the first time I OWED the government money. I'm over it now.
Yeah, right.
Still waiting for those 1099's and year end thingies.
I paid quarterly last year and I still owe about $30,000. I always told my parents to stop complaining about taxes, that they pay for government programs we need...now I'm the one complaining.
