Aaron, there's a terrible wave of self-importance going around with these doormen at bars. They are doormen at bars, they aren't the owner, they aren't big players, they aren't professional atheletes and they aren't rap stars.

At some point the bullshit has to stop. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" ??

Not too long ago I went to a little trendy college bar in West Chester, PA, 25mi west of Philadelphia. They wouldn't let one of my friends in (group of 4) because he was wearing a shirt without a collar. There was no cover so I went in and told the doorman that if I found one person in the place with a collar I was going to call the manager/owner and complain. Sure enough, I saw at least 3 people without collared shirts and our group was eventually let into the bar after some discussion with the owner, who had be to pulled from his office where I assume he was counting money.

Had my friend not been allowed in there's no way the rest of us would have left him out in the cold, and I would have given the local Better Business Administration a call.

That shit pisses me the fuck off.
