I am getting connection refused about 50% of the time. Most likely there aren't enough ports available on your web server. Increase the max number and you won't have any problems. Also increase the number of min idle connections to have at all times. Increase your minimum startup connections. Have keepalive between 2-5 seconds. That should give you a nice blazing fast server.
