If you fly a spy plane over another nation you cannot whine when it is shot down although it seems it simply crashed.SIG TOO BIG! if the plane was in N. Korea airspace why wouldn't you think they'd try to shoot it down? You think the US would hesitate to drop a spy plane violating it's airspace?

Actually it was over South Korea, 31 miles south of Seoul.
At 70,000 feet it is out of range from most anti-aircraft fire. Also seems like the pilot is dead.Comment

satelites cannot look at specific places at specific times because they are constantly moving in orbit. they can only look at what they happen to be passing over at the time. so if we need to see what is going on at a certain place at a certain time reconnisence planes/drones will always be needed.Originally posted by Simon-interaid
