    dumbass customer of the week...

so this guy joins our gay site & then asks for a refund because he thought our site was a "shopping club"... wtf? then when i wont give him a refund, he starts spouting off about a "buyers remorse" law in washington state that allows a credit card user to return anything they buy for a refund within 3 days of purchase. i dont know if this law even exists, but if it does, what kinda bullshit is that?

"oh im sorry, i used the shit out of your product for 3 days but i regret buying it, give me my money back." yah ok whatever...

anyway, for my own amusement, here are the emails:

sorry to hear you didnt like the content. id really like to offer you a free month, as well as get your input on what you were disappointed with in the site, plus get any suggestions you have for the type of stuff you were expecting to see. all of the content on our tour is inside the site, so hopefully you can understand that i'm not sure exactly what would have been a disappointment.

I was disappointed with the content... I expected a shopping club, not an adult sight, and now really regret the expense charged to my credit card.... so another free month is not of much interest.

This state has a 3 day buyers remorse period, I have lots of emails from @ls-media.com showing more than reasonable effort on my part to cancel and receive a refund with in the allotted three days.

i checked out the gallery that you came to our site from, and i'm not sure what gave you the impression it was a shopping club. our site is clearly a membership site. i have cancelled your subscription, so that you won't be rebilled at the end of the month, but i really cant refund this based on your explanation, because there is nothing on any of these pages that suggests its a shopping club, as opposed to an adult membership site.

I expect a refund not because of "my explanation" but because of the three day rule protecting Washington state residents from buyers remorse.
    the revolution is coming.

Sounds like this guy has done this before. If it was me, I would tell him to fuck off. In kinder words, of course.

He's just a scammer. He comes right out babbling about "buyers remorse" laws. No newbie is he.

Even if the law exists, I doubt that someone can just sit in his house in Washington buying things from all over the world and be covered by his local laws. He'd probably be bound by whatever terms are stated on your site + the laws where your site is based. I'm no lawyer, though, so I might be way off.

You gotta scare that fucker! Say something like....

"Well sir I will grant you a refund, but please be aware that your credit card will be blacklisted from making any more purchases on the entire Web. Furthermore when I contact Visa to grant the refund, this information about you joining a gay website will be available to all lenders and your current or future employers. Have a nice day!"

Also tell him that his personal info will be shared with 100's of "associate" webmasters and added to that blacklist in order to prevent this kind of misunderstanding with other internet business owners.

Dawgy unfortunatley assholes like this are the folks that cause chargebacks. I would just give him his money and block im from your sites.

It would be a useful project to have list of these people someplace we could all use to block them from ever buying anything.

I get one of these occasionally. They usually say, "their kid used their card". I issue the refund immediately, and then email Globill to blacklist them, which they do. Then I send my standard letter, which closes with:

                    ?

We sincerely regret this incident. You will be please to known that you'll now be blocked from tens of thousands of adult sites, which may help prevent this from happening in the future.

                    Yours In Christ,

                    Steve

I would just give him the refund, apologize for not meeting his standards, ask for suggestions, and blacklist the fucker if he had no legitimate statements. Enter in as many fraud databases as you can. This will protect other webmaster programs from paying their affiliates out commissions and then dealing with this guy.

Don't threaten or anything, don't really explain anything, he'll just use it against you if there is another contact between you. Just look good, come off clean, and ban him on the backend after extensive research. A guy with a credit card that knows how to use it is a valuable commodity these days, but one with an attitude like that isn't good.

But my content IS good! Buy my content!
