    Hamburger or Hotdog?

    There was a time in America when the hot dog was the number one junk food, pizza didn't make its mark until the 60's. I think i when i was a little kid even, i remember being about 5 years old and the first McDonald's coming to town.

    So are there any hotdog people still out there who still prefer one over a hamburger?

      i used to like hotdogs more... until i ate like 5 in a day. after that i've been pretty sick of them. i'm down for veggie dogs though.

              I pretty much only eat hamburgers grilled at home -- I dont like them cooked til they are shoe leather and there arent many restaurants I really trust.

              Boy, a good ballpark or racetrack hot dog... mmmmm!

                  i guess the next quesiton would be... pre-made patties or ground beef that you have to make into a burger on your own?

                                              I think hot dogs are mostly overrated, and when I eat more than two at a time I feel like I've eaten an entire solid block of salt. But a sausage from one of those street vendor carts occasionally makes a great "dinner" on the run.

                                                                                                              i think the hotdog is now underrated. A really good hotdog holds it own with a burger.

                                                                                                              interesting though that hotdogs are so associated with sports facilities. probably the only place many people eat a hotdog. it just doesn't seem right to walk around at a baseball, basketball or hockey game munching on a hamburger.
