Saddam is a brutal despot, but he is not a "true believer" in fundamentalist Islam. He uses religion when its convenient for him to maintain power, but we know he's a bit of a hedonist and enjoys the good life. If the united states removes Sadam the money from that country will put the US economy back on the fast track. I cant understand why millions of US citizens would oppose this war. They want to drive big cars and live in wealth from a country that was built on war, kind of like I want to get paid without working.

The difference between Iraq and North Korea, is that North Korean probably isn't insane enough to actually use weapons of mass destruction. They are clearly acting the way they are to better their bargaining position for aide from the US and other nations. Saddam is an insecure dictator who will go to any lengths to keep his power over his people.
