I live in the area, but I heard from a few people staying at the Georgia that the rooms are nice, but fairly tiny once you put two beds in them. It's an old old building, but with reno'd insides, so old-world dimensions with new world furniture, I guess.

There are plenty of hotels in vancouver.

Downtown is fairly small, so if it says 'downtown', then it will be within a 10 block radius or so. You can also mapblast the addresses in comparison to the Georgia.
