The patents are NOT valid in Canada. HOWEVER, if you host in the US or have a US corporation, you are still subject to Acacia's patents. If you are STRICTLY Canadian (as I am), and they actually server you, phone them up and laugh really loud, ok?Comment

i.e. anyone that is based in Canada, hosts in Canada, but uses U.S. affiliate programs like Oxcash, etc.
More than one person has said Acacia claims this is also considered infringement.Comment

My understanding on this (and I may very well be mistaken) is that while US patents are not automatically valid in Canada they still carry a lot of weight.
