Yeah, I seen shows on that where they can hack saw through the steering wheel in less than a minute and pop off the club.
They say they like to hit cars with the club because it usually means they have a good stereo system, plus it's sorta of like rising to the challenge. Just like if you tell a hacker it is impossible to break into your computer, you know they're going to try just to see if they can.Comment

Lowjacks can be disabled without even going in your car. If you really want to deter someone get an undercover style police siren/light setup and leave it on the dash.I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

Actually, the most effective theft deterrant is to drive a piece of shit car with a crappy stereo.
I saw a tow truck tow away a car in about 30 seconds tops... these mechanical arms stretched out, clamped under the rear wheels, lifted them off the ground, and off he went the car... didn't even get out of his tow truck. If I was a car thief, the first car I'd steal is one of those tow trucks.

Flashing alarm light visible from outside, no alarm. Remote battery switch located where 4 way flasher switch (or any other original switch location) originally was.
They usually won't waste the time figuring it out. Trick is to make it something unusual that they don't see everyday. Worked for years for me in NYC.
