    Its not my country, its not your country. I didn't choose it, and most probably you didn't either. Trying to claim something as yours which you came upon soley by accident (of birth) is ridiculous.

    You never see Palestinians burning Swiss or Canadian flags, or chanting "Death to Finland! The Great Satan!" do you? Some countries make their own troubles, incur their own debts of violence.. things which I am not responsible for. If those debts come due, what do I care if the place burns?

    You can die for it, I'll be on the last plane out.

                I think some of you guys are selecting the NO option because you didn't read the question correctly.

                If YOU were being ATTACKED.

                This has nothing to do with invading someone else just for the fuck of it.

                But, if everyone who selected NO did understand the question correctly... well... that's just sad.

                Protecting your family doesn't always mean hovering over them at home. What good would that really do when an enemy is beating down the doors to your country? Your way of life? Your society?

                            Way of life and society are not important here, it's staying alive. What good is a super-egotistical self centered arrogant materialistic money based society if there is nobody alive. People have survived thousands of years withought "way of life and society" I'm sorry but if someone WAS attacking my home I would defend it, but to join a cock fight when My family nor I are in immediate threat of death is rediculous. I would rather be a fucking cuban than be dead.

I would stand up to someone who smacked my kids, as I would hope that you would. If someone attempted to attack my family, I would fight. Shit, if aliens attacked Earth, I would try to defend our way of life. War itself is not honorable, how you act in war is where the honor lies. Crying is not noble.

                                            If aliens attacked earth I would need at least 7 days to mentaly prepare msyelf and unteach myself what I thougth about aliens. Then I would fight, because then I'm in imediate danger.

                                                (I'm only 90 lbs and 5 ft tall) I'm wimpy , weak and scared of pain and blood! But I prolly would fight if i was a guy and tougher. I know a lot of guys love to fight and stuff, some guys even told me they would like to die in war, they think it's the "manly" thing to do. But I'm sorry, I have to admit, I'm a weakling, I'll probably run and hide in the bushes

                                                                        That I agree with, and the answer to the poll really depends on what the war in question is over.

                                                                        People will undoubtedly die in the coming invasion of Iraq. Will they die for freedom? Their Country? Ideals? Their friends, family, and everyone else who mourns them will try to make themselves feel a bit better by pretending that is the case, but it ain't so. They will die because G.W.B wants to play personal grudge match with foreign policy.

                                                                        If you were truly fighting for your freedom and the freedom of others, and it was a situation where you had to fight and risk death or live under tyranny, then yes, I'd go. But modern wars, for the most part anyway, have nothing to do with that. Its money, oil, religion, and ideology.. things I am not prepared to defend.

                                                                                                I don't think so, I'm probably the wimpiest person you'll ever meet. But unfortunately I have a bad attitude too that doesn't go well with a physically weak person. One time I started a fight with some girls and they camped out in front of my house for weeks (because I cussed one of them out) and I was scared to leave my house for 2 weeks! I went grocery shopping at 6am in the morning to avoid them, and my friend, who's a lot tougher, would bring scissors with her so she could protect me, lol.

                                                                                                Anyways, I'm too scared to die for my country too, I'm too young to die, I'm only 24!! And I don't want to die a painful death, or get shot/stabbed or die of cancer, I just want to die in my sleep


                                                                                                I know some females are very brave and do great service for their country, but I'm just REALLY scared of pain, I think it would hurt A LOT to get shot or stabbed and I don't think I can handle it. I don't have a high pain tolerance, I get freaked just getting my blood taken at the doctors, I don't think I can handle a painful death. Please God don't let me die painfully!!!

                                                                                                    Untill you have stood in a pile of your friends blood as you hear his body girgle from the blood in his lungs and he asks you to help, when you have smelled what war smells like and the taste it leaves on you for weeks, after you see what happens when you live and your family dies, then you can choose to run or fight.

                                                                                                    I have seen this and if someone invaded the US then you best hope the world ends soon after as a battle like that would not be worth fighting. A war like that would kill you even if the enemy doesnt. War is worse than what you see on TV or what you read in books, after the story is over it's gone, that doesnt happen in real life.

Unfortunatley not. there has been more oppression here in the past year than I have seen on the hacker boards. People on this board do not understand the meaning of sharing and free speach. I would truly like to see a free speach forum instead of the bs that goes on here most of the time. I have been fighting for that exactly since last year.

Since 1991, we've been over there blasting SAM sites (Surface to Air Missle), getting shot at, occasionally losing an aircraft in hushed-over "accidents". Bullshit. That's us protecting the northern no-fly zone, and keeping what few Kurds were left in that area safe from Saddam.

My husband was one of those flying over Iraq, part of ONW...and I have a great many good friends over there now. This has been quietly going on for years, the media just didn't bother telling anyone about it.
