Same here...funny tho'...I have had tgps who declined my hand submit galleries pull my galleries from other tgp's with their recips on them and post them...'tis a funny world the tgp game.

Its usually a bonus except when your galleries are hotlinked from asian sites or russian ones with cyrillic writing. Probably not many signups from those...

It bothers a lot of the big tgp owners, they pay top dollar for good scripts and reviewers.

And it only takes some guy (or girl) two mins to copy and paste there links.

Yes - worldsex, onlyteenz and wildcherries are famous for that - just to name a few who spring to mind (don't know if worldsex is still doing this - don't think so!)

It's a bummer if sites like gold.jp-sex.com are doing this cause as a gallery owner you don't get anything but a huge bandwidth bill out of it!

On the other hand I'm trying to get a new TGP started and I confess I'm using links I found elsewhere... But most of them a while ago, and I usually try to get to the clean page (w/o recips)!

Yeah man! Tell me about it! Seems like those guys refuse to do any reviews on their own.. stealing links from other reputable TGPs are much easier for 'em

.. alternatively they could accept partners only to avoid reviews.

As long as they don't copy a whole list and steal the descriptions as well I think it's not too bad.
Especialy for tgp's with paid spots.

I figure if you're going to take galleries from other TGPs, at least take them from their archives.. and not too many from one particular site.

But of course, you should be less lazy. There are lots of clean gallery lists posted around various boards.. those guys posting would love the extra traffic I'm sure.

Some fuckers have been linking my movie pages from shitty forums. I don't want that traffic, even to my html pages. So I put this into my htaccess.

Building a TGP site is one thing. Building a steady customer base is another...
Steeling content from a website is wrong. The content was reviewed, maybe even specialy listed for advertising purposes (read: payed for) and selected to have a "unique" identity.
Why should one do a simple "copy-paste" and another do a lot of hard work (includes dealing with redirects and other ....)
Not any gallery needs non converting traffic of just every so called TGP site.

No one cares. They'll only take action if the site is tiny. Once it has traffic, and starts trading with everyone, people clam up.

It used to bug me, but there are more important issues in life to stress about.

i have my htaccess setup so when certain sites i dont want using my galleries steals them it redirects their traffic.

I do convert forum traffic okay not the best quality but better than many trade-script using TGP traffic

I have requested TGPs before to pull my links out that they stole from other major TGPs, if they didn't I redirected their traffic and I will still redirect them faster than I would any forum traffic. More traffic is not always better specially when there're high bw movie galleries are involved. Now if the TGP that stole link is new and without a trade script I probably would care less.. y know it cracks me up sometimes to see how much money those trade kings want for their toplinks.. say why don't you turn your trade off for a day and let us see how many bookmarks you actually have

I got paid spots and I get sales from the sites that steal links.
I know it's not cool to just grab them but most gallery builders are happy with it.

This was a suggestion when putting my tgp script together, instead of having the url on the page, have it as visit.php?linkid=$linkid which calls another page. Sure they could steal the url but it would take much much longer to do.

I noticed one person did it recently and even left the trade link there.. lol

but i am. if someone wants to send some free traffic my way, why not? so long as it's english traffic, it's all good...
