What should I tell this guy?

I recently put my TGP site for sale up on e-bay. The link is <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11763&item=3104291 476&rd=1">here.</a>

This guy bid on it, and then sent me an e-mail that said this:

    --

can i make my investment back with in the first month, realisticly. and how do you make money on the casino do people realy bet money or is it a casino game that you have to pay a membership fee to play. i tried to go to the casinos web site but could not find the page. i am still intrested in theses busineses. very interested. so any information that you could give that will help me make my decision would be great and i do have a icq a count to chat with you when and if i purchase.

    --

When he talks about the casino, I also offered to sell him www.sexyluck.com in addition to the other site.

Anyway, I feel kind of strange because he e-mailed me asking questions after he bid on it. I'm conflicted, and don't really know what to tell him concerning his questions regarding making money back in a month "realistically" through the TGP.

Are there any TGP gurus that can help me out? Let me know what to tell this dude. I really want to give him some sound advice, but have never actually had any real experience running the site.

    Thanks.

Just tell him that he is paying mostly for domain ownership, the existing site design and source code & the current traffic.

But tell him that you will put together a list of resource sites and forums (like GFY ) where the new owner can get some pointers and help, as you are removing yourself from the industry completely & will not be around to answer questions.

In fact ammend something like that to the end of your auction or you will probably wind up with more than $349 worth of headache ;)

Classic! Looks like you found yourself a sucker! I wouldn't say anything about his bid being binding just yet. Wait for the auction to end. Just tell him if the site is promoted heavily enough, it willl make the investment back in no time at all. Technically that isn't lying. You just don't need to tell him that he will need about 100K of TGP traffic to make his investment back in a month.

I think the idea was $600,00 to $900,00 (I've seen a lot of europeans use comma instead of period?) but notice its like 600,000 to 900,00 ... so theres room for interpretation there

                    Put yourself in his place.
If you were the bidder and he were the seller, what would you want him to tell you?
The truth, or a slightly-exagerrated highly unlikely version of the truth?
It could be that this person knows what they're asking you and they want to see what kind of person you are. It could be that he knows nothing about the business but even armed with the real truth, will follow through with the bid and tackle the challenge anyway.

Treat others as you would be treated... this is a business.

He can always retract his bid if he doesn't want to continue... I wouldn't put the URL in there 'cause ebay staff will delete the auction if they find it.

The $600,000 - $900,000 comment is way out of line, I hope you don't really believe that. I know that wasnt your concern but thats probably why you are not getting bids on it, if people think you are bullshitting about anything you have lost all credibility.

As far as the guy I would just tell him he should'nt be bidding on things he knows nothing about. People that buy or try businesses that they nothing about simply with the intent to make money will fail.

He sounds like someone who knows absolutely nothing about the biz and thinks he can just "buy in" to profits. I would simply tell him that like any other business, it doesn't run itself, and how much it makes depends upon the business savvy of the person operating it.

ok, alright, I think I got it, tell me what u think:

                                    Hey,
concerning your question about making your money back in a month, I thought long and hard about it, and this is what I can tell you about both sites:

you are paying mostly for domain ownership, the existing site design and source code & the current traffic. Like I said in the auction, there is almost no traffic right now, because it has'nt been marketed yet. I can tell you though, that there is a site called The Hun. (www.thehun.com). This guy was a student in college - in Switzerland. He started the whole TGP craze and is a millionnare now. He gets anywhere from 4 million to 6 million hits a day. Of course, like any business you start, there is a lot that goes into it. You won't be seeing 4-6 million hits your first day out the door, but with time, who knows? I can tell you, though, if the site is promoted heavily enough, it will make the investment back in no time at all

I hate to sound like some MLM guru, but it really does depend on what you put into it. All I'm supplying is the tools to get started. Where you take it and use it from there is up to you.

As far as the casino site, yes, it is for money. If you go to www.sexyluck.com, and look up the membership area, it will tell you how the site works. You get a 25% commission whenever anyone gambles any money and they lose. But you do not lose money if the player wins. Of course the house almost always wins. We can discuss this further on ICQ.

Anyway, I hope I answered all of your questions. If you have any more, just ask.

                                    Sound reasonable, fair?

and as far as $350.00 for the site, that is what I feel the amount of time, energy and resources I put into building the site is worth. If you actually look at the site, I think you'd agree.

As far as the $600,00.00 domain name, there is a site that will appraise your domain name. I could not find the link when I put the auction up, and I can't find it now, but that's what it said. This is kind of e-bay lingo, if you read the other auctions, you'd see a lot of people use this as leverage to sell domains. I don't know how credible it is, and honestly I don't care. If it's what an appraisal site says it's worth, and it helps me sell, then like I said, I do not care.

I would be honest and promptly respond to an ebay bidders inquiry.

Let's assume there is a typo regarding the domain name's appraised value. That should be corrected, however that may not be possible, since the first bid has been entered.

I also noticed your feedback with less than 20 feedbacks under your belt, and already have a couple of, less than perfect Feedback entries from other eBay users.

Why risk another N/F. the ebay negative feedback tug-a-war just to squeeze out another 20 bucks.

Ahh, maybe that's it. I just looked at the auction and was thinking "Six hundred thousand dollars?" I still think $600 is about 15 times what the domain is worth, but it's a lot more reasonable
