What's a good 19 inch CRT monitor to buy ?

Hey people, I'm looking at picking up a new 19 inch monitor, but wanted to get some opinions from some of you out there. I did read some reviews from Tom's Hardware and other places, but I'd like to get some of your opinions.

I'm not looking to waste the big money on a flat panel right now when I'm sure in a couple of years, bigger models will be cheaper, I'm just looking to buy a CRT model.

I'm sure some of you are gonna ask what I need it for, pretty much workin on my pages and do a bit of gaming, so that's it, nothing too technical.

Get the Viewsonic A90f Plus with the new UltraBrite 3X screen. Its the best one out there in my opinion and very affordable at around $249.

I have the VIEWSONIC PF790 ... and I would recommend it in a heartbeat ... it's Viewsonic's pro level monitor, but definately worth the couple extra bucks if you do any graphics or gaming, or anything that requires intense graphics such as full screen movies.

I have not had a single problem with this monitor, and have recommended it to many others who are very happy with it ...

For what it's worth... you should shop for a grade "A" refurbished monitor on this site. You can get SO SO much more for your money:

I have 3 Dell 19" Monitors with Trinitron tubes and a great dot pitch. Heck, if you have $200 to spend at this site you can get yourself a killer 21"!

        Cheers,

        Brad

P.S. - It's not a fly-by-night company and their grade ratings are accurate.

I have a Samsung Syncmaster 900NF. It is one of their "professional" models and I love it. I run it at 1280X1024 and it is bright, sharp and clear across the entire screen. It is also a monster and weighs in at about 50 lbs.

Check out cnet.com for product comparison and reviews as well as online price search. I still think that for photography and gaming application , a CRT instead of an LCD is the way to go.
