Okay, I'm a bit new to the industry and I'm a little nervous. These are the facts that have me concerned. Any advice from you pros would be very helpful. I signed up with these guys through a reseller. The site is located at http://www.bighitters.com


I paid for 2 900 numbers and one page web site. Cost was $700.00.

I didn't expect to make a fortune right off the starting gate, I thought a couple of hundred dollars a month, maybe a grand a month.

After promoting the numbers for a week, I got zero sales, the only call that showed up was from me.

They keep pressuring me to market it with their paid advertising, even though though my traffic has always been reliable and good.

Here are the facts:



1. Stats open to anyone. All you need is the phone number I'm promoting. At http://www.bighitters.com/callcounts
2. The call I made didn't show up when it should have.
3. I asked four or five times when stats are posted and for what period they are posted for. I still don't have an answer.
4. That call should have shown up Last Monday. but it didn't even show up the following Friday. It showed up the next update AFTER I started asking very polite questions.
5. I had promoted it for a week.
6. They suggest I change the way I Market.
7. I paid $700 for my phone numbers.
8. They also sell advertising. (See number 6)
9. The one call showed up after it should have.
10. Stats updated twice a week, seems hard to make adjustments based on marketing methods but could be the nature of 900 numbers.

Never pay for 900 numbers they are free to get, many sell numbers including good ol don lapre.

They mostly are AmericanTelnet.com numbers that he says based on the preamble

Well I just got a sales call and an sales e-mail. They want to talk to me about getting additional numbers from them and discuss marketing. From their e-mail:

"I left you a message earlier, just wanted to get us back on the right track here.
If you are serious about making money, we should talk, as our Internet programs are frankly kicking ass over our phone sex programs, and I believe in investing marketing dollars into the most profitable of programs."

I don't know but I kind of think the verdict is in. I've made some changes so I can better track things. Going to give it another week. But, yea not feeling too good right now.

Surprised not more people here that have had dealings with them. Good, bad, indifferent?

All that marketing speak makes me drowsy. Makes me feel like when i'm not looking they are going to jack my wallet.

I'm going to hear them out, but I find it very unlikely that they will get any more of my money.

Well, after doing the research I've done. I can really find nothing wrong here. I checked my promotion sources a lot closer only to find that they are no longer working.

Should I have paid the $700? Probably not but hey, I could have done more research. I was concerned about shaving. My traffic has sucked to put it mildly.

Someone trying to sell you more stuff should raise red flags but red flags are to be investigated, and the investigation leads me to think, I should probably try some of their advertising methods. They guarantee traffic but nto sales. Will have to think on that. Work for yourself, their are risk.

Using my old marketing methods, I was able to generate a grand total of 143 visits in two days. That isn't going to do a whole lot in the way of sales.

I changed my name to one that I'm a little better known by, not so much on this board tough. I signed up about a year ago and you guys were scary. LOL So I used Rainman. I'll be posting with this nick in the future.

I thought I'd let you all know how this has progressed. I talked with Leon of Bighitters. Seems like a nice guy. Offered me some special promotion deals and some names. I tried to call them but I never made contact. And besides fool me once shame on you... you know the rest of it.

I placed a couple of other calls to my own phone numbers, numbers that Bighitters does not have. I suppose no one would be shocked to find out that they calls did not show up. The only call to show up was from my home number and it showed up 3 reporting cycles late. After I asked where it was. But the minutes are wrong, they show four minutes, I talked longer than that. My hunch is they just guessed at how long.

I've talked with some folks in the industry too. One person said "I knew it was a screw." I gave it a fair shot, I promoted it and tracked the results for a bit. The advertising methods were working, I did get visitors to the web site.

But seeing my calls not show up and seeing my one call showing up after I complained, I believe it's pretty clear what's going on here.

I asked for a refund and they said that they know I'm disappointed but it's not a get rich quick scheme. I never expected it to be. But getting credit for my calls is what I expect and that is not happening.

Maybe I should have pursued some of those other deals they are offering me but leaking stats in one program could mean leaking stats in another.

They of course state they do not issue refunds. Well I suspect I'll get my money back. I wonder how many people sign up and never test the lines? Shame, I could have made them money and me money at the same time. And the Dataline sounds pretty good, oh there are some fake womeon on there but their or some real ads. Oh well, take a chance in business you might loose some money, I can handle that. But I don't handle it will when someone's tilting the results.

Call it what they want. I made three calls to my own lines, you know how many showed up? 1 and that was three cycles late. The other two didn't show up at all. I don't know, I'm looking pretty dumb for giving them my money, but I ain't that dumb.

I thought I'd let everyone know how this ended. I wasted some time and about $250.00 on advertising but I got my $702.00 from Bighitters.com back. I don't know if the reseller that I dealt with is being scammed to or what, so I'm not going to mention them, just make sure you know who your dealing with. Wish I was a sexy female, I'd get me a number with SinCity, a web cam and make me some money. Hmmm me in a dress? Nawwwww would never work. ;)
