                                                              as a movie it was a great movie. even as an adaptation of a book, it's still good.

                                                              but as a fan of the book, i do question why jackson chose to change frodo's journey. i thought it would have been much better to have ended the movie with frodo in the hands of the dark lord.

                                                                          The movie was good but by far not as good as the Felloship of the ring. The movie cuts between the storylines were to many and I did not like the changes Jackson did compared to the book.

                                                                          I think I understand why he moved Kraka to the third part because I assume he will have to leave out a lot of the last book. Half of the last book happens after the main highlight. Movies don't work this way. So he has to fill the third movie with Kraka and the Ork part of Frodos journey.

                                                                          The 3rd part has to be the best according what is missing from book 2 and coming in book 3.

                                                                              ... gotta agree with that. I read the books and I saw the first one last year. I really loved it. went to see the new one yesterday and I have to say it was boring as hell and after that expirience I will not go and watch the next one ... I am pretty much disapointed !!

                                                                                              I haven't seen the first one but my girlfriend was desperate to go see it as a few of our friends were going. So I tagged along and to my amazement I actually enjoyed the movie!

                                                                                              I would say to anyone to go see it as you may even like it, its got some funny parts and all round its a good movie!
