Hey Pistol: You cant go wrong with Harrah's. We stayed there last year and were staying there again this year. It's only $59.00 a night and it's right next to the Venetian and the trade show floor. Unless you wanna shell out $200.00+ a night for the Venetian its pretty much the best deal goin. You better get a room quck though - may even be sold out already. Good luck!
You can't go wrong with Harrah's in any city. I use 2 play slot's at Harrah's in Reno a lot. Many times they offered 2 send someone over 2 were I was staying and move me 2 1 of there suites. Always told'em no need Western Village treats me good.
Harrahs is a good deal IMO. Its next door to the Venetian and on a 4 day stay will save you $440 a room over being at the Venetian. The rooms arent as big as the Venetian, and the bathrooms and showers are clean but not gold plated. The rooms are decent, have a data port for dialup and come with the regular items like a armoire that holds a tv and clothes plus usually a desk. The view faces either the Mirage or the valley.
The hotel has a decent steakhouse, a Buffet that is just fine for a morning meal as well as a coffee house that is a A-ok greasy spoon. The entertainment in the place kinda sucks, although they do have a decent comedy show with standup that only runs like $15. Overall, I think there is much better food and entertainment at other venues. Their pool sucks compared to many others but it will be January so who cares. They have some sort of spa/gym but my lazy ass has never been there.
If you gamble get a players card. You can easily get comped for 2 nights for next January and move the cost down even further.
