    Is it Lightspeed's et. al. corporate policy to advertise on homophobic sites?

    I had really hoped to use my 1000th post for a different purpose and in a way this is a good a way of using it as most.

    On a thread on this board regarding the banning of my sig, marty, representing Adultwebmasterworld, has made some significantly homophobic comments.

    Normally that stuff is like water off a duck's back for me but in this case the site involved is a webmaster resource site that has some significant industry advertisers.

    Is it the corporate policy of the companies below to support homophobia or a site where the principal on this board is so obviously anti-gay.

    If it is not, what will this companies do regarding advertising on this site in the future?

    Below are some of the sites concerned.

    This is all from the "CEO" of a webmaster resource that accepts advertising/sponsorship dollars from:

                  But to say that this is a homophobic atmosphere, or that a few small minded people who happen to have a problem with your sig represent an entire board population, well that's wrong too you know.

                  I'm sure this thread will get alot of views, basically because you banked on someone else's name as the title. That's your prerogative, certainly, but I really think you'd have changed your mind on the title at least, given some more thought.

                                                          I don't think that's actually what he said. He said that the person expressing those views owns/operates/works for the resource site these companies are advertising with.

                                                          As to naming specific companies, I don't see the problem. Maybe these companies aren't aware that they are associating themselves with a person or persons of dubious character. Now they will know. Also, if there was a sponsor or company knowingly advetising on, say, a white supremecy website or something else that most people would consider pretty vile, it would reflect badly on the advertiser and it should.

                                                                                          Adultwebmasterworld isn't an anti gay web site, it's an industry related site that just happens to be run by a guy that allegedly doesn't like gay people. If advertising there is wrong, then I'd suggest we remove all advertising from every site in existance. Everybody has their hang-ups, site owners not-withstanding.
