I find that most of the Chinese I know see success as a matter of position. If you have a PHD then success and social respect are supposed to naturally happen because of it. This is how it works in the PRC, but here success is a matter of action and labour. I know many educated and highly qualified Chinese immigrants who are broke and even moving back for part of the year because they don't understand how important it is to hustle for things here, and that success isn't going to fall in their laps.
Now of course that is not all of them, and I know many who have worked hard at low paying jobs, bought their own homes etc. I would actually say life here is easier for the lower classes than the intellectuals. The lower classes understand that they have no entitlement.
Some of the talk here is a bit dehumanizing to Asians, talking about them as if they were different types of import cars. But remember where this discussion is taking place.

I hate to come in here and state the obvious but different people from different cultures have different experiences that shape them differently.
The unique aspects of each race tends to shape each person of that race to some degree more than it would people of other races.
Hows this for one Kiko, Asian people are more prone to understanding what goes on in Chinatown than a Dominican person. Rings true doesn't it? This is defintiely the case in most situations but maybe not all of them. But if the glove fits, even a little...
At the same time, you cannot be mad at people that have limited experience with a race for making sweeping generalizations about what they've seen. It's been my experience that people that are new to something have a fresh outlook on it and see the broad scope of it as compared to the select scene a person living in it is used to. This leads them to take notice of those small unique aspects of the race that when repeated could be called racist. You can't deny those things are there to some degree. It's like saying black people like basketball. Who can deny that? Not all of them can play but that generalization isn't too far off base.
I said Asian babes try really hard to please and are extremely giving. I also think they have shallow pussies compared to other races. And yes they do taste better than most.

There are key differences- both good and bad in the way Chinese approach work and their filial obligations. No, Chinese people would be more likely to understand Chinatown. A Korean or Japanese person would be just as lost as the Dominican person.
