if u have time and money, you can check out most of the good spots.
if it's not that long a trip and money is an issue, of course Number #1 stop is NYC, Manhattan. Washington DC, stick to Georgetown and touring the White House and Capitol building. Then Los Angeles/Hollywood and Vegas. Miami comes next. Then Chicago. Chicago is better than Miami but maybe you want warm weather and hot chicks more than culture and the MidWest.

In Northern California and Oregon there are redwood trees that are big enough.. (and have holes cut out) for you to drive a car through!
Are you looking for Active city live or mellow beaches?
I guess you should drive the East Coast... since it's closer to whereever you're coming from ;) But you're missing out if you don't get to see the west coast.

since you're going to be in north carolina you should go to the outer banks! it's the long thin strip of land along the coast there. there's big giant sand dunes and they're fun to run down.. i think you can hang glide down them too. it's really pretty out there and nice since not too many people know about it, so it's touristy, but not annoyingly so.Comment
