    December is odd?

    I read some posts saying that xmas has nothing to do with the adult industry? Well I find it un-nerving that my traffic goes up this month but conversion rates (on all sponsors) also goes up (bad!). I started out in April in this business and have been listening to some of the sayings about "summer slump" and that november is a bad month.

    November treated me well with good conversions, very much like the other months, but in december it suddenly went very very wrong, traffic is simply converting worse.

    Are anyone else experiencing this at all, or is it just my page going to hell? ;)

              my traffic has went and my sales have went way up.

                      I have had great summers where I didn't believe in the summer slowdown, and I have had terrible summers where I thought the world might end.


                      This week my sales are a down a bit, but last week was the best week I've ever had at tatgirls.com, so you never know.

                      I *DO* know that every year on the major holidays traffic goes to complete shit, followed by a complete high...

                      Kind of interesting.

                          Conversion ratios have fallen somewhat during the last 5-6 days for me, but traffic has increased.... it's all pretty much averaging out for me...

                          Rebills are a completely different story though.... Ibill's rebill system has been all kinds of fucked up for about a week now.... like today, the ibill stats page says i have 21 rebills that still have to go through from yesterday, and 34 for today.....

                          but the daily stats says that only 7 went through yesterday.....

                          It's been doing this off an on for awhile now.... it's like hardly any rebills go through for a couple days.... then i'll get like 50 or 60 rebills on day.......

                              Content providers are an indication of how 100s of sites are doing rather than the individual.

                              Our sales are rock solid, plus with the offer we are doing on custom work we are getting a lot of that work.

                              But Tim at www.timifoto.com said they were a bit slow. Which is strange cos his stuff is good.

                              I think it's all swings and roundabouts and you cannot predict one month to the next acurately. It's the over all picture that is important.

                                      I have always seen a slump at this time of the year in my personal sales. For years I have excused it with the fact that people are busy getting ready, they are spending their spare money on gifts and also that they aren't alone to surf porn. Just like in the summer the dormroom wankers (and I mean that as a nice thing) are home for the holidays and that means that not only can't they jerk off but neither can dad.

                                      Hold out hope that a lot of people will get computers for xmas and we will be faced with a whole new bunch of newbies. In the meantime get building so that when they show up they are going to find one of your sites.
