i would get all that you want quickly. I hear that Kazaa's parent is presently in court defending a lawsuit brought on by the music industry so who knows how long them and the other P2P's will be able to stay in their present form.

There are a lot of MP3 search sites out there also if you don't want to do the P2P sharing thing. Or just go on Launch.com though you can't save them, you can find almost any song you'd like to listen to.

Make sure if you get Kazaa, you get Kazaa Lite. Some program, just has the ad's removed. Much nicer to deal with.

I've been up all night downloading tunes, lol. Just downloaded Rancid's 'Time Bomb', 'Roots Radicals' , 'Bloodclot', and 'Ruby Soho'. I already have Salvation.

I love FREE GOOD music!

bobo, the original kazaa has those two ads like you said, but it also has about 5-6 spyware programs and it also opens random popups. download ad-aware and run it... see all the shit you installed.

if you install kazaa lite, get version 1.7, not 2.0

The latest WINMX is working fine for me. I found some "lost classics" on there recently that I couldn't get while using Napster a few years back. And they sound good.

Direct Connect is a very nice software but I don't use it cause it is illegal to download copyrighted music

.. why not kazaa lite 2.x. I run Kazaa lite 2.0.2 (http://doa2.host.sk/) myself and I haven't seen any reasons not to run it yet. enlighten me.

never heard of it actually, homepage? AFIK kazaa lite is the way to go ... but maybe diet kazaa is another try to remove the ad/spyware from the origkazaa.

I get all my music from the OpenNAP system. I use Drumbeat for Mac OSX. They haven't put out their windows version yet. But there are plenty of win32 clients available.

I used to go to Tower records and go to their "listening stations" and grab the cd's out of there...but one time I forgot to take off the headphones (you have to act like you're listening to the latest Slim Whitman release and then when the counter dude is ducking behind the counter snorting lines of blow off the floor with the hottie who stocks the Alternative section, you make a run for the door...) the headphone chord thingee stretched as far as it would go, then ZAM snapped me back like a rubber band and sent me falling backwards to the floor...so in the commotion I panicked and started faking a seizure....well, I didn't see the big display for the new MarilynManson CD and split my head on it and was bleeding all over the floor....so, I passed out from blood loss...well, when I came to, the hottie from Alternative was rubbing blood off my head and asking if I was going to be ok...I made a crack about only if she kissed me...and she fucking maced me...so I'm squirming on the floor with mace in my eyes and blood gushing out of my head...and kind of "slid" into the Willie Nelson bin...I learned my lesson that stealing music is bad......
