Not a half*ss filthy tshirt, torn jeans and drunk buddies hanging with you.
ALSO, having your chaperone female with you that will be present at the shoot is 10000% alot of help.

Well, Gem, as you know, we disagree on this. I find that strippers don't necessarily want to appear on the Internet, that they are suspicious of the direct approach (professional attitude or not), and that one wants risk takers anyway, so the female present at the shoot thing contributes little. I've shot over 160 girls in the last 2 years doing it my way. That never would have happened with business cards.Originally posted by Gemini

Well, while there are some gals in stripper bars who are not dancing, they are typically accompanied by a male I think you'll agree. In that case, I'd recommend having a female do the approach. Still, I think the indirect approach where the model is in full control and remains anonymous as long as she likes is still the most fruitful and time-efficient. I could spend 10 hours a week handing out cards in stripper bars if I wanted. Instead, I just work and when the phone rings I pick it up, spending probably a TOTAL of an hour a week talking ONLY to girls who are interested enough to call me. Another problem I have with stripper bar recruiting is that I am looking for the REAL girl next door as close as I can get, and many of those girls are NOT to be found in stripper bars. The kind of girl I'm looking for is more likely to be found at a movie, a party, a rave, or a dance club than in a classic stripper bar.
A lot depends upon what kind of girl dnsmonster wants to get, then.
I do feel older men (approx the girl's father's age) have an edge in a lot of ways, as long as they seem fatherly and non-creepy. (This is easy for me, since I AM a father of a girl still in her 20's.) There are some girls who will view ANY older man as a "dirty old man," of course, but I've had more than one model tell me that posing for a guy their own age is what seems strange.
