    new feminist promote unity of slut and good girl

    Feminist author Naomi Wolf huffed and puffed and brought the house down last night with a speech about the volatile world of sexuality on campus, written especially for her Northwestern audience.
    In her address to 300 students in Coon Forum, Wolf said that women need to embrace their sexuality, stop trying to be good girls and admit that "we are all sluts."

    According to Wolf, who spoke about the evolution of sex on college campuses, a system of "drunken hook-ups" has replaced the typical dating scene.

          Men have always been sluts, women are just catching up...

          It's called equality....

          and besides, think of how much "good girl" you can get if even more women suddenly "embrace their inner slut!".

          maybe nudie pics will be the new female rite of passage.

              Hmm... I don't agree. I'm fairly certain not all women enjoy being called sluts. Even the feminists. I can just imagine walking up to one and referring to her as a slut and getting slapped along with some stupid lecture about treating women with respect because "we're all equal". But, since some feminist speaker came out and say it, I'm sure the sheep will follow...

                  I was having a conversation with a male friend of mine recently in which we were debating why it is that women who aggressively pursue sex are referred to as "sluts", but when men do it it's just "a guy thing".

                  I agree that the time for females to accept their sexuality and go with it is long past due, but I don't agree with using the term "slut"; to most people, "slut" is a bad thing. There are women who need sex and like sex just as much as men do, and we should be allowed the freedom to go out there and get it without dealing with the "backlash" (not that I personally give a flying shit what anyone else thinks... I do what makes ME happy and to hell with society's bullshit "rules").

                  It kinda sucks that this woman took a REALLY good idea and had to ruin it by throwing the word "slut" in there.

                      Now this post I agree with. Why someone would want to be referred to as a slut is beyond me.

                                  well thats kind of wrong...men are "experienced" and women with "experience" were and still are called sluts...
                                  no one wants to be called a slut...(i don't think)
                                  women just don't want the double standard.
