Was converting under 1:40 for 2 yrs with a vod sponsor...now 1:116 and climbing
With 6 days with absolutely no sales this month where as i used to maybe have 1-3 days period with out any sales in a month. What have i done differently? I added more traffic! From blogs and se while as not changing my previous traffic source. So more traffic= less sales and if you know vod you have to make sales daily in order for it to be profitable. Total sales this month so far 20 with $63 commission. Last month 64 sales previous to that 60 and previous to that 70. Blame the tubes? Time to change websites?

Adding more traffic and getting worse ratio really isnt all that uncommon from my experience.
Why you ask?
9 times out of 10 the extra quantities of traffic are less targetted and more general traffic.
For example maybe "porn movies" instead of "pay per view porn movies".
You get alot more traffic but your ratio goes up aswell, about the traffic you already had its just a normal dip in sales, you normally wouldnt be worried about it but since you have more traffic you are expecting more sales.Comment

The only reason i really find it weird is that not only are the sales ratios dropping but like an everyday 2 days pattern like someone is turning things on then off...Im done with this sponsor I cant take a whole month of this.

Critical Mass was hit maybe a year ago.
The Paradigm/ Zeitgeist/ Meme of our time is that all porn and digital content (music/tv/movies) should all be and is all free.
Do a google search for sex or porn or ass or whatever and you will see the Tubes/Hubs all come up first.
Why would anyone have to buy porn anymore? Its all easy to find, its all free and its 24/7 - always on. Just like our web. No need to download/save. Just stream it when needed.
The rate at which tubes were adopted amongst college kids (all spreading the word about them) was unbelievable.
And this is not even to mention Torrents... Which are just amazing to find entire site rips in one file.
There is still some money to be made. But it will get harder and harder as more people just download everything for free.
The business treated buyers like dumb ass-hole douchebags in the past... when it was super easy to make money. Now those people are jaded and will not buy again.
