I have a tube that is completely member amateur uploads, but am about to shut it down. Doesn't generate enough revenue to cover the 50mbps bandwidth it has been using.

You nailed it buddy! THE ONLY tubes worth a damn are the ones with partner Programs where you can signup as a Webmaster and submit your content. You need (at least) 10,000 views (and WAYYYY more) to get any decent CTR/sales. So why post your content - FOR FREE mind you - with a tube that only will get your video a thousand views, and maybe - MAYbe - a hundred clicks to your site?

Waste of time.
