They'll probably just sell it to the highest bidder since the only thing they care about is that bunny logo, and how many hats and t-shirts they can put it on to license to other stores. What I'd be really curious to see is if they immediately shut down the magazine, since you can't give it away.

Shit, you haven't been able to give away a copy of Playboy since somewhere around 2005, with a few exceptions. When we were carrying Playboy in my old porn stores the only time it ever sold is when some celebrity of varying degree was posing in it, and the highest selling copies were when a female pro wrestler was posing naked. Every time a female pro wrestler was on the cover I would order extra copies, and they would ALWAYS sell out. The highest selling issues of Playboy I can remember since early 2000 were Sable (twice), Chyna (twice), Torrie Wilson, and Candice Michelle, all from the WWE. What's even funnier is those were all huge sellers, and last month a female wrestler from TNA Wrestling, Tracy Brooks, had a nude pictorial, and the new idiot editor decides he doesn't want Playboy associated with pro wrestling, so he moves her pictorial from the magazine to the Cyber Club. Is it any wonder they are a sinking ship?

Playboy has a good run. The mods were extremely tolerable to all of the adult webmaster community.

I wonder who is gonna dominate the adult webmaster forum landscape. There is gonna be a war for who is gonna by the next GFY.

Then we are not even thinking about other ways that they could add money to this board. Ask around how many would pay a monthly fee for a pure certified business section and what they would pay for example.

No to mention the advertising they do here for Adult.com and benefit they get from that by making Adult.com more money too.

Lot's of ways this site makes the parent company a lot of money.

if one looks at the financial statement, they would find playboy has been losing millions of dollars every quarter. the assumed $300,000/quarter gfy generates has virtually zero impact on the bottomline of playboy.

hardly a cash cow for the parent company. let's double the assumption, $600k/quarter and playboy is still losing ~$6 million every 3 months. gfy is a blip on the earning report radar of playboy.

selling it would net the playboy owners a few million and it would be a potential cash cow for the new owners but they would still have to earn the buy money back.

Dyna mo... do you know the difference between SALES and PROFIT ???? The parent company may do 60 million in SALES but it might have cost the parent company 70 million to make those sales.
