Ok, Who has some GOOD ADVICE for me

Heres the deal. hubby and I own 2 business's
Euphoriacash.com
And our printing biz

Problem is this, They are both making close to the same amount of income and there isnt enough time in a day to make either grow any further.

Should I consider hiring someone for a % to run euphoriacash for me? If so, how do I find someone I can trust.

Our original plan was for hubby to handle euphoriacash and me the printing, not working out well.

With and considerations of the state of the industry, economy, tubes....webmasters with knives cutting throats I am not sure what I dare do.

However as the ole saying goes you cannot serve 2 masters.

Anyone wanna give me some input?

I would say it may be easier to hire very experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy help on the printing side right now. There are plenty of people looking for work, and that is a job a lot of people know how to do. Adult is harder to do right, harder to find legit good trustworthy people.

Maybe try to outsource a lot of your repetitive mundane adult work to offshore shops and affiliate managers and so on AND hire someone on the print side. Then you are growing both businesses in the most efficient way and playing to the strengths of each and to the market conditions.

I should have also stated, we have been offered a storefront in a local college town. 2 Big colleges. It would take us both to run the place together. Main street spot right near the college bars....so its a hot spot. Also its not easy to find someone who can screen print, dtg print...etc....

However your idea may be a good one but still, who can ya trust out here to handle the adult stuff.

Your next step sounds to me like outsourcing some of your burdens. Doesnt mean turning a blind eye, but theres no reason 2 owners need to run a business. You hire a manager and incentivise him or her to do well and run it like they own it. Offer a monthly managers bonus depending on store profit for example.

You can probably find a professional service to help you with your future business planning and such. Like a life coach for business owners.

This thread is not at all how i assumed it would be. After reading the boards and I constantly see this program isnt paying, that one isnt....I see people selling out, closing down..etc....
I would have thought everyone would say....bail on porn, move on to new things.

lol, I meant all my comments to be for the printing storefront and business. But hey, maybe you'll find some cross-overs too. When I worked in mainstream retail I sure had some sexy girls who were open to things.

And my monthly bonus was based on how profitable I ran my store too. You just need someone who actually cares and feels you care about them, and you're good to go. Not easy, but do-able.

Are you looking for someone to run your affiliate program or to run your adult website? If it's the AP then yes, you have to find the 'right' person and it may prove difficult. BUT if you're talking about your adult paysite then finding someone in the Phillipines or India who can do the 'grunt work' (updating, posting, etc) would be fairly easy, and cheap ($150 a week, maybe less).

But all in all, if I were in your position I would go for the printing opportunity now, and see how it goes 6-12 months from now, putting minimal attention to your adult biz; the adult portion of your life will 'coast' to a certain degree, at least a little, and shouldn't die completely or fade away completely in 6-12 months (and, if it did, could be 'revived') but a brick-and-mortor operation like you described is the bigger task, and well worth investing in. UNLESS, as I said, 6-12 months from now you take a look at your bottom line and, if not happy with it, could make some decisions then.

My two cents. Great good luck! On some levels, these are 'good' problems to have!

As some others are mentioning, it sounds like you would prefer to do the printing business. But if you haven't already, maybe adding a script like aWIZ to help manage your site easier, and a really good script for your affiliate program, and that would cut-back on quite a bit of work time on the adult end...just a thought. Good luck with your decision.

Mentioned before but it is very difficult to find good, long term help when dealing with people working remote. It sounds like you've already made up your mind for having someone run the program, so best of luck.

I have the same problem now. I too own a printing business and to tell you the truth it's going as bad as online porn has been lately. Both the printing business and porn are going through rough times at the moment.
