I see some (mainly bigger sites) using AV after the actual join from a soft/SFW tour but I do see how that could piss off some paying customers. I guess they are doing that for cost purposes as sites with big traffic would end up paying a shit ton of AV check fees with a much smaller percentage of surfers actually joining so that would be a loss making event.

Other sites using a soft/SFW tour have AV before the join, then letting surfers see the proper NSFW tour, then the join as normal without the 'shock' of being greeted by AV checks once they've paid there hard earned cash before they can login.
Its more cost to the site again with AV check fees but there are some that are totally free providing you self host the script.

Then there's the ModelCentro way that are charging the customer for the AV check without seeing a thing. Its not something I would personally use but I understand they did that due to lack of time and are working on something better?

Be interesting to see how the big tubes implement things as they have until later this month to comply (at least in the UK with OFCOM) as I hear Pornhub may be doing something a little different.

And as for UK/OFCOM, you could ask your biller to not accept debit cards (as under 18's can get these) and just use Credit cards for joins with a SFW tour/no AV checks. This I think should satisfy OFCOM but from our figures, you would lose a ton of customers as debit cards are close to 70% of UK joins comparted to 30% CC joins.

So in short, there is probably no 'best' solution yet as its early days.

There is no one size fits all solution, but there will be AVS. Choose your flavor. I kind of look at it like old school magazine racks where the "dirty picture" mags were wrapped in plastic with SFW pictures of the style of content on the visible cover. You had to buy it to unwrap it.

Most of the biggest paysites are doing this now.

sadly the AV comes up on every page including the FHG´s, so now, any page you look at on a Modelcentro website displays an AVS with a $1.50 charge, if wanting to proceed...

I´ve heard there´s an idea for sfw tours and FHGS, this could and would work, so hopefully they will proceed and do this

I looked your site from Kentucky and got the AVS page. When I took a screen cap, it unexpectedly saved a bunch of explicit pussy pcitures in the same shot.

I’m not a tech person, so I’m not sure how that happened, but if someone in Kentucky sees that, it could become a serious problem — not so much from government oversight, but from opportunistic civil lawsuits.

Just giving you a heads-up. You might want to check how your AVS page handles background content or cached images so this doesn’t create liability for you or your users.

I took care of that two months ago. And it is an uphill struggle. But reality bites. If you want to do it at the last minute, you are skating on thin ice. In fact we all are.

PornCMS has Landing Pages that can override the homepage and also a Blur Thumbnails option with a click of a button (blurs thumbs for non-members). we've been working on solutions for this issue for about a year.
