here's how i see it, UNLESS something happens in the meantime like either a HUGE catastrophic disaster like a tsunami hitting the east coast or something outrageously GOOD happening like a breakthrough in einstein's theory of relativity, which is entirely possible

within 7 years:

hyper-inflation
all countries drop the dollar for buying oil
chinese held debt goes BOOM!
china go BOOM! on us.

i'll be in costa rica, either way.

This is Schiff's and other classical economists' "gloom and doom" theory that is 100% plausible and better than anything the keynesian economists can come out with. However, it won't take 7 years lol. I'm looking at 1-2 years for the dollar to totally lose reserve currency status, all of the treasuries floating back into the US increasing the money supply tenfold, and us reaching hyperinflation and eventual economic collapse.
