    Events amazed no one mentioned the Spain & Portugal blackout

    Just thought i´d say, was so scary!


    Electric went out, phones went down, no wifi, no communication at all. So, let´s go outside, OMG...


    no ATM, nothing opened, shops closing, nothing happening, no one around & everything deserted...


    then neighbours come back from further afield, been out, but the same, and this means this isn´t local...

    Brain ticks, is this the Alicante region, Spain or worldwide?



    I can tell you from the gecko, it makes you think it could be a worldwide invasion! For hours, we actually packed bags, grabbed essentials & got ready for war, we didn´t know what was going on...


    was a nightmare!

                          This happened in Northern California once, about 1995 or so. It happened to be on the day that we were driving from Norcal to Socal and we had no idea if we would be able to buy gas on the way down.

                                          but most of all, proved, as some have mentioned, how a country needs to have other means of transport, no matter what the consequences & cash is always reliable, hard currency, not electronic.



                                          Still now, makes me wonder if it was something more than a power flux to put 2 countries out of power.


                                          Does make me laugh, i read : Spain was putting power into other countries while was out of power for itself


                                          And those saying stupid comments of "Spain with electric" lol... Spain´s ahead of most countries, now on reliable renewable energy, solar & wind, now working on over 50%, more than most, so very adaptable!


                                          Let´s not also forget, the power & communications were online just 12 hr´s later. Hoping this doesn´t happen to other countries, it would take a lot longer to see a light or have phone communication back

                                                              Doesn't take much to put us out of balance. Imagine if those power outs lasted. All our resources tied up in bits and bytes on offline servers.

                                                              Even here in the outskirts of SEA I've come accustomed to using apps only. But you also keep a healthy amount of cash in your house in case you accidentally do something where officials needs to be convinced that you didn't.

                                                                      the bigger and more diverse the network is the more these blackouts will occur worldwide, it's "simple" math... we had a physicist in our country who predicted these blackouts like a decade ago already (and many other foreseeable future events)... unfortunately he died a few years ago

                                                                              You could of just tuned on the radio, they were reporting on it the whole time and within 20 minutes or so of it happening you pretty much had the whole picture (apart from who's fault it was)

My favorite part was when Ethan Hawkes character had to decide what to do when that women was begging for help on the side of the road. He probably had a 800+ credit score, an advanced degree, donated to charity etc but when it comes right down to it he is just a selfish piece of shit.
