    Scammers in 2025

    Don't know about you guys, but it seems there are a lot of scammers trying to sell backlinks or blog posts on sites they don't even work with.

    Is anyone else getting these scammers to hit them up?

          Daily... they email my privacy policy contact and pitch their junk to sites I know they don't own or represent. Report as spam, thank you, next.

                  Daily as well. Sometimes I own the sites.

                  I also get people asking for links and blog posts daily. I sell them on some of my sites. Never get a reply back. I have no clue what these guys are up to.

                          I even asked one of them why they were doing it, and he said, "We are not scamming people." We are in the 'resale' business, he said. Of course, if they deliver on the promise, it is debatable if they are scammers, but it sure feels like it.

                              I ask them to place a meta-tag on their site to prove they own or control it. I never hear from them again...

                                      I get them all the time on skype and email so they are likely scrapping message boards.

                                      Never was interested and ignored everyone or blocked. What I do love is SEO people from India who are just starting out contacting me either for work or if they could work on my site etc.

                                                                                  ya most brokers do not have agreements with the site owners, they usally at some point msg the site owner to get pricing, then resell without the site owners knowhing.

                                                                                  i do broker a few sites myself, but i deal and talk with site owners regularly so they know im doing so.

                                                                                  98% of the people spamming you, the site owners probably have no idea.

                                                                                  Best to get the site list from those people spamming you, and find the contact info of the site owner that has the spots, you will get real pricing, and only deal with them direct.

                                                                                  The other thing about those people, as they have control over your links, as they are the ones dealing with the site owners, so they could in theory remove the links, or add their own without any recourse since they are the "buyer"
