Feel for you and sorry you are in the UK when it comes to the whole check costs issues and of course the wire fee's from trusted 3rd party processors like ccbill and such.
This is just a major concern and often thought about issue when it comes to promoting sites that handle their own payroll and run via Nats or any other 3rd party non billing system like MPA etc. Companies are folding this year faster than they went up in the solo site boom of the past two years. -

I just received a payment on octobre 7. In may they didn't pay, and the folowing month they paid for 2 months. But they always do that cause they are on holiday then. There were problems with security, check your account details if nothing changed. i expect the next payment next week.

I promote them since 2005. Never had any problems. I noticed they payment sometimes arrive a few days earlier or later. But i don't care about a few days, if it is there at the end of the month it is ok. Most of the time when something goes wrong with a payment i notice that after 3 months when i do bookkeeping for VAT. When a payments is a few days late, that can happen. Maybe he has holiday or something. Some people get in panic of there is a 1 day delay.
And if they are out of business, that could happen to. The best times for smsmovies are over, they didn't improve anything the last years. I made my own sms payment site as alternative.

That worries me most. Total lack of communication. Some emails even bounced back.
I see foreign wire transfers on my account few days earlier than i actuall get them. I don't think european banks could hold money for weeks, just few days max.
Before i was receiving payments by wire from smsmovies but i noticed epassporte is faster. Not too big difference on fees...Comment

The guys behind free6/smsmovies have had some trouble with the Swedish Tax Authorities. The authories claims 50 millions Swedish crowns, about 5 million Euros, in unpaid taxes.
I watched a clip on swedish tv when they interview the man from the authories leading the investigation and a fun thing is that they are not sure from what country the are running the smsmovies site now, because it is still running as usual:-)
So this might explain why they can be hard to get in touch with.

It all started with the Swedish company (the one that gone bankrupt) that owned free6.com and they were also running some phone sex. Then they started up smsmovies.net but at some time they transfered smsmovies to a foreign company structure in tax havens. The tax authoroties claims the real owners of is is the swedish company or the owners of it and it should be taxed in Sweden because it is managed from here.
Crimes regarding tax is really serious in Sweden. If convicted you are looking at several years in prison.
One of the owners is arrested in the Philippines on suspicion of trafficking, regarding some kind of webcam operation they had there. He has been arrested for about a year now.
About the same time as the guy was arrested in the Phillipines the Swedish Tax authorities started the investigation about smsmovies.
As SZNY says there is a rumour that one of the guys living in Malmo is on the run, but nothing has been said about it in the news.
It's hard to predict what will happen with this mess, but as smsmovies is still up running somebody must be out there operating it:-)
I'm really feeling sorry for these guys, got some good cash in the past from them, never had any problem with them and free6.com was the first porn site I visited, it's a shame it's gone.

I know now much more about the guys operating it than before. It always went smooth and than there is no need of contact. Locked up in The Philipens, authorities on their back.
I saw the changes in address and thought they were lying in the sun and enjoying the good life. Hope they will get back on track, but it sounds like serious trouble. At least we now know why.
