DRAMA Epassporte/payment name changed to closed account !@#%$##$@#$

I got a sponsor that makes me around 25$/month lol
So i don't really check it out. After 4 months, i have the BRIGHT IDEA
to check out if (iF I got paid or will get something). I don't see anywhere the payments.

So i contacted the sponsor about it, got a message back from them saying that the payments were made each month, even tho the amount was small.
Huh ??????????????????

I then have another bright idea (oh lord), to go check out my profile.
BANG, fucking old epassporte account in there which is closed. Since at least, october 2007.

The problem is, i got paid from this sponsor before, with the right/new epassporte account. How come it fuckin' changed back ?
I made sure that every sponsors got the new one (done this a year ago).
Also, after getting paid once by them (in june) i figured out that everything was ok from now on.
WRONG !!!!!

It's only 100$ or so but IT pisses me off !
Now do we have to take a look at every damn sponsors each month to see if the payment options/infos are ok ?

One thing's right tho, sponsors that sends you a payment email notification. That you should go check out your account as you have reached the minimum required.

it's your job to make sure you have the right epass infos on your profile
when you changed epass account back in 07, you should take the extra 3 min to make the changes...

First of all the account WAS CHANGED as i got paid before. It switched back (don't ask me why)

Now you're telling me that everyone goes thru all their sponsors. Know each pay date of everyone of them including the minimum amount before payments can be sent ?
How much sponsors do work with it to say this ?

Are you serious or what ?
Let's say you check the info one day before the payout. If something goes wrong the next day, what do you do ? Check it out every minutes ?

Actually that's not really funny. Some affiliate program which bough The Sponsor Feeds plugin has paid $100 by mistake to "[email protected]" account which never been mine. You konw, their money was not returned and even no "thank you" came from that "cyberxxx" epassporte account. So at least one clever guy just got paid for nothing just because his account name coincides with my nickname here and at many other webmaster boards.

I've had the same happen once (though only one payment and a higher amount). I had asked a well known dating sponsor to change my epass and they confrimed they did it, then they sent the payment to the old account. never got that cash

They fucked up big time. Yeah the payments cleared as it's not closed. It's just that i ain't using it anymore and didn't for almost 2 years now and WON'T USE IT TOO so i don't have the card nor do they have the required documents so it's a "dormant" epassporte account so to speak.

Oh yeah, i just got a reply from the sponsor.

Sponsor sent the money for nothing because they screwed up
Epass has my and their money in my old account.

Maybe the sponsor had a harddrive crash, and a database was restored from backup that contained the old id.

I had similar experience when I 'managed' to give a wrong epass id to one sponsor and didn't pay due attention to my profile. Luckily for me there wasnt such epassporte user and my money hasnt been lost.
Now I check every sponsor every month. Time consuming but funds saving
