oh and it's not because of Exodus
It's just because to send USDT, you need eth or tron to pay for gas fees.
Any wallet will ask you for those fees, it's not like Exodus is more expensive than others.
Exodus is a super cool wallet, the best IMO
Just use LTC or XRP and you will not have any more problem
