I am not sure anyone could ever debate that issue. Pretty damn fucking sure he was the greatest performer ever and assuming anyone ever comes close in the future they will have to not only live up to his standards in all ways, but blow them out of the water to make people agree.

i gotta see it - not the biggest michael jackson music fan but as a performer and cultural phenomena and oddity, the greatest we've seen.

what a tragic bizarre life - he identified with the Elephant Man, and ultimately did become a similar figure even though he was born handsome and talented. so bizarre.

I honestly do not think there was anything wrong with him and kids. I think he just did things we would find taboo or improper, like sharing the bed with them. Almost seemed like he only identified with kids and was psychologically stuck as one when he was not the performer.

I agree. I don't think he ever had sex with them at all - he was just an easy target for blackmail. Was the identity of the accuser public knowledge?

I just watched the new movie tonight. It was pretty good.

Prince is/was also quite amazing. A musical genius and a great dancer as well.

Too bad they didn't show the moment when the cast and crew learned of his death. It would have tied the movie's loose ends into a nice tight package. I think it would have made his tragedy more personal for the viewers.

MJ's appeal was more across all boundries around the world, plus he had great songs and most importantly he could entertain the masses!

I have zero interest in seeing the movie. I was never a big fan. A friend who saw it said, that you pretty much get the feeling that he was murdered. The guy is dancing and full of energy and then 2 days later he is dead.
