There is no such thing as "1000 kcal per serving" gainers, its just marketing. Most gainers consist of mainly carbs and some protein...so 4g of kcal for 1g of powder. If you take 100g of powder, you get 400 calories. The only thing they do is they change the serving size, to display a bigger number on the package...but imagine if supermarkets did the same...if they claimed our chicken has 1000 calories per portion, while the others have 500 calories per portion...and then you would read the small print saying that their portion is simply twice as big.
