    I'd like to attempt to build my own social networking type of site...

    Hey guys,
    I'd like to attempt to build my own social networking type of site. I was wondering if anyone here could steer me in the right direction?
    Is there any sort of templates I can get my hands on or do I need to build it from scratch? Is it expensive? Is one type of site better than the other?

    Anyways, just something I wanna experiment with...maybe one day actually try and make some money on it if it works out.

          imo the hardest part is getting actual real people to network together on it, it is mostly a battle against spam that is a real pain in the ass to deal with while you are trying to make a go of it

                  Agreed...I know that would definitely be a challenge. I just figured I'd take a stab at it. I have some interesting ideas I'd like to try.

                      been awhile since I even looked at them, but Joomla and Drupal are designed for this kind of thing... might be something you want to play around with

                                              phpfox has an easy script to install and run, come with a lot of bells and whistles and something like 800 ad-ons you can get
                                              Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
