Liquid Media is a gallery, tube, and blog solution all in one. We have built from the ground up the most powerful tool you'll ever need to run a successful gallery, tube, or blog site (or any combination of the 3!). Now not only will you have the net's most powerful all-in-one solution, you'll have some incredible FREE designs to get you started!

We recently ran a design contest which resulted in 21 submissions. We are asking for your help in voting for the top 5 designs. The 5 winning designs will be included FREE to all current and future Liquid Media license holders. We want to showcase the flexibility of this script as a tube script, gallery script and as a blog. Liquid Media can be used to power any of these sites while giving you the flexibility to add other options in the future without any added expense.

Terms:
+ Results will be tallied one week from today (November 4th) and the winners will be announced in this thread.
+ As per our rules in the design contest thread, if your design is chosen as one of the winners and you have not yet designed a video/gallery page, you will be required to submit one before being paid.

it would also be nice if people who own LM got more of a say as its us it affects, how about you host a separate poll in the LM forums for us to vote?

Though it appears to let you cast another vote it does not actually tally it. It blocks multiple votes based on a number of factors.

We had actually planned to do something like that. Of course we would want to give our license holders first dibs on which designs they want to use. This one was more to gauge the general public's interest as well. We will also add a poll within the members forum within the next few hours.

I've no cut in this, but it seems to me the voting is skewed to say the least. If it was me, the voting should have been done only between real users or no voting at all, just the script owner deciding what's best for his own script. Statistically speaking, it's really difficult that in an open voting the top 5 most voted designs are for the same designer and more or less the same amount of votes, esp when the quality between those 5 designs is very different, from very good to pretty bad. Again, I've no cut in this so I couldn't care less, just my humble opinion

This is somewhat true but I have bought the script and I voted for the design I really want and right now It's leading so I'm happy lol.

I know which one do you like and it's the best for me as well, I already said that in the original thread. If you check the difference in votes between it and the other designs by the same designer, you'll notice a trend: there's a base of votes for all the designs by the same designer, and then you've the "independent" votes, which makes the difference. I voted for it myself. However, I do not think by any mean that was going on is fair, let alone smart. If I was the owner, I'd have chose BY MYSELF 5 different designs to cater the needs of a wider range of users, not 5 variations of (more or less) the same design. Again, I've no part in this at all and I guess St0ned will know better than me what's best for him and his script.

And another thing: although #21 is the best IMHO it's too strong, so it's great as a custom skin, but once you have 5 sites using the same skin, they will all look the same. For templates, it's always better to have the option of really simple, raw styles with no personality at all that you can modify via CSS in 5 minutes. The closer I see to that is 1, 2, 14, 15, 17, 19 which looks quite easy to modify (will depend on the coding, of course) yet they aren't getting much votes. So in a way, people is voting for a nice custom skin that they won't be able to use unless they want their sites looking exactly like everybody's else

note: just in case I don't mean "no personality at all" in a bad way, I consider Facebook design within that category and still one of the best damn layout designs I've ever seen
